MIASCI: A minimum information standard for SCI researchers
A paper describing the Minimum Information About a Spinal Cord Injury Experiment (MIASCI) was published in the Journal of Neurotrauma in 2014, The latest version of the MIASCI standard is available at FAIRsharing and SourceForge .
Using a spreadsheet to provide a completed MIASCI entry for a SCI project is difficult, because different experimental details (surgery, outcome measures, results) are not easily linked to each other. To address this challenge, we have developed an online tool called
MIASCI Online that allows researchers to curate an experiment or publication and uses MIASCI 'behind the scenes to structure their input. An important feature is that it establishes relationships between the experimental results and the metadata.
